Taking your benefits from The British Airways Holidays Limited Retirement Benefit Scheme

If you have not yet started taking your benefits from the Scheme, we will automatically send you an information pack around six months before you reach the Scheme’s normal retirement age.

If you would like to explore your options for taking your benefits before normal retirement age, please contact the Scheme administrator, using the information in the panel on the right hand side.

Taking advice

If you would like advice about your retirement plans, we recommend you speak with an independent financial adviser. There are a number of places where you can read more guidance about getting financial advice, including:

• The Financial Conduct Authority (‘FCA’) Firm Checker tool, which gives you an easy way to find out if a particular firm is properly qualified and authorised to offer financial advice – https://www.fca.org.uk/consumers/fca-firm-checker;

• The FCA Register itself, which includes all the authorised firms in the UK – https://register.fca.org.uk/s/. You can search the Register for any firm you’re thinking of using and confirm the right details for them. You should not use a firm that isn’t on the Register.

Using Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Please be careful if you are thinking of using tools like search engines or AI to help with your financial or retirement planning. AI can be useful alongside the support we give you – it can explain special pension terms, for example, or outline options you can take.

However, please remember that AI is not regulated or overseen (in the way that financial professionals or organisations are) and can return wrong information and present it as fact. Please don’t put any of your own details into AI, and please do not use it as a substitute for actual financial advice.
